{event} uc davis picnic day weekend

Good company always means good times, especially when you’re trying to relive your college days. Tina and I decided to continue honoring our “YOLO lifestyle” and headed to Davis this weekend for our college’s annual Picnic Day.

001 Halal Food The first thing I did when I got to Davis was try Shah’s Halal truck. Conveniently located on campus, I’m surprised I’ve never tried this when I was actually a student at UC Davis. For $7, you get a bottle of water or soda and a “box of heaven.” Delish!

{instagram week} treats at work to macaroni grill

A week of:

  • Boss and co-workers always bring food in to work!
  • Getting sick – my immune system is the worst..
  • Boyfriend bringing over porridge and milk tea
  • Satisfying my pho craving/it’s the only semi-solid food I could swallow
  • Friday night: staying in and watching sports with the boyfriend
  • Being sick = craving fried foods really badly (which is really bad). But Chris took me to Wingstop to satisfy those cravings!
  • Trying out a new pizza joint in Newark after the Farmers Market
  • Chillin’ at Starbucks with my some of my co-workers
  • Eating Macaroni Grill for the first time in a long time (things have definitely changed!)

Since we wanted to get a bite to eat before landing in Vegas, we grabbed two slices of pizza at Pizza My Heart in the airport. It was my first time eating Pizza My Heart (even though it’s a chain), and I like! It’s funny because the cashier accidentally entered “22″ as the quantity so the total came out to $70, and then he joked with us about how that’s typical prices for airport food. Funny guy! :p We had to rush to board the plane so we couldn’t eat the pizza while it was hot, but it was still good semi-warm!

We met up with Amy at the airport and headed over to Vdara.. penthouse, baby! Look at the view! I love love love the Vdara. But they really need to install AC or ventilation into their elevators. That was not the business.
